The Shanghai Jiading Hi-Tech Park was established in 1993 as a national-level park designated for the development of new and high technology, and is located the city of Jiading which is a satellite town of Shanghai area.

In July of 2000 the Shanghai Municipal Government issues Jiading which is “The one of six Hitech Park in Shanghai” strategic policy to accelerate the Park’s rate of development. The Park’s two leading industries are information technology and manufactory, and its principal focus is to develop innovation and entrepreneurship. The park’s main industries are supported by the Park’s national level bases: the National Shanghai Information Technology Base, the National IT Industry Base and Return Scholar Development Base. Jiading will be one of the nation’s top hi-tech parks, with an innovative and educational atmosphere and state-of-the-art technology. The Park is also striving to become a world-renowned center for hi-tech industries and scholars.
